The idea of having home care started when my father-in-law started suffering from Alzheimer’s. We were looking for an agency that could take care of him and support my mother-in-law in this difficult time. It is a very stressful and difficult process when a loved one is losing knowledge of their family and becomes bedridden.
We were able to find an agency and got the services of a caregiver that was able to help our family. Soon after, I realized that the relation between home care and family needs to be more than just business. There was not a feeling of compassion and care as a family that we were expecting from the home care agency.
As a Pastor for 16 years, I felt that this type of service needed more understanding, caring, and compassion towards the families that we are working for.
